THE general malaise within the dairy industry had a big effect on Largs Show where Highland cattle were the only bovines on show.
Thankfully, the was a more than useful turnout with many previous top prizewinners on display.
The other highly competitive section was that for Blackface sheep and it was fitting that the show's champion of champions came from this section in the form of a ewe hogg from Brisbane Glen Estates, Outerwards, Largs, which had also led the breed previous week at Newmilns.
