AS Braco Shows go, the 2016 event couldn't have gone any better for young Cammie Gauld when his home-bred Texel gimmer was the pick of Scott Dawson to take the champion of champions honours.
The Milnbank Van Wilder daughter first caught the eye of sheep inter-breed judge, Robert McNee, to take the top title in the busy sheep lines over the Blackface winner, a three-crop ewe by a £1400 Auldhouseburn from Tom and Mairi Paterson.
The Patersons were back in the tickets when their Blackie trio topped the inter-breed group of three.
In the cattle section, it was Stewart and Lynsey Bett's commercial leader, a pure Limousin heifer named Randerston Jasmine, that took the edge ahead of the Dick family's Limousin champion, Ronick Intrigue, when judged by Jim Kennedy.
Limousins continued their leading ways when a duo from Doug and Lynda Graham headed up the pairs competition with a trio from Ronick leading the groups of three.
Kevin Wilson's Clydesdale mare, West Bank Ruby Tuesday, retained her supreme heavy horse title from last year while the reserve was awarded to the miniature champion, Adele Stewart's Narinian Lottie.
