CLYDESIDE LULU, a homebred Limousin heifer from Archie Lindsay of Kepscaith Farm, Longridge, topped Carnwath Show.

By Garmon Heros, a bull bought in Carlisle, and out of Clydeside Disco, 18-month-old Lulu was reserve Limousin at Stonehouse and fourth-placed at the Highland Show.

Heading the sheep section and reserve overall was Jim and Wendy Bell's Bluefaced Leicester section champion, a two-crop ewe which was champion at Peebles as a ewe lamb, and a full sister to the tup they sold for £14k last year.

Reserve sheep was Andrew Provan's champion from the busy Blackface section, a ewe lamb by last year's Carnwath champion, which was itself the son of a £20k Dyke.
