IT was a triumphant return to the top of the line for Collessie Jennifer at the North of Fife Foal Show on Saturday, when she scooped the senior and supreme titles at the centenary event held at Highfield Equestrian at Howe.

The two-year-old filly certainly needs no introduction as she has been virtually unbeaten throughout her short career and has taken numerous championships, not just the supreme title here as a foal back in 2014 but also the Cawdor Cup when she stood champion at the Royal Highland Show, last year.

But she comes from a long line of winners as her dam, Ormiston Mains Amber, is also a holder of the Cawdor Cup, as is her grand-dam and great-grand-dam while her sire, Redcastle Brelee Majestic, scooped the same title at the National Stallion Show a few years back.

More recently, Jennifer stood champion at the City of Aberdeen Clydesdale Show and National Stallion Show, as well as at last year's Winter Fair, and will now enjoy some time out of the spotlight.

Taking the reserve supreme honours was the reserve senior champion, Iain Johnston's Roughlands Alana which was shown by his daughter, also Alana. This yearling filly by Arradoul Balvenie is bred out of Barlauchlan Jubilee Princess and was only lightly shown this year to stand supreme at Kinross and reserve at Braco.

Among the foals it was this season's show leader that continued his winning run of form when Harry Emerson's colt foal, now named Lutterington Harry, was awarded the foal championship. Brought out by Ronnie and Pete Black, this March-born son of Arradoul Balvenie is out of Middlebank Carlogie Anna Marie and added to his supreme wins at the Kilmarnock and Lanark foal shows.

Offspring of Arradoul Balvenie certainly proved popular as the reserve foal was another by the stallion that stands at stud at Collessie. That was Charlotte Young's Collessie Flash Girl, a March-born filly that stood reserve to the Lutterington colt at Lanark the previous week. Shown by Charlotte's father Jim, she is bred from Old Greenlaw Jura and was bought by the duo at the City of Aberdeen show where she won the filly foal class.
