THERE was some tough competition at the Young Farmers’ stockjudging held at the Royal Northern Spring Show, last week, where teams from Kinneff JAC and Strichen YFC triumphed.
First up was the live, or ‘on the hoof’, judging where Kinneff JAC’s B team of Thomas Wilson, Shaun Marshall and Blair Wyness claimed the top spot while Turriff JAC’s Euan Smart and Annabel Rennie led the gents and ladies sections, respectively.
Taking top title in the carcase ‘on the hook’ competitions was the Strichen YFC A team of William Moir, David Moir and Stuart Ross, with Moir brothers William and David winning the senior and junior titles, respectively.
