THE FRASER brothers from Easter Clune, Lethen, Nairn, dominated Aberdeen and Northern Marts' show of Young Farmers overwintered cattle, held at Thainstone, this evening. Securing supreme champion for Ally was a February 2016-born Limousin cross heifer bred by Craig Malone, Pitcairn, Lochgelly, Fife, purchased from Balfour Baillie last September.
Minutes before, Ally's older brother Grant scooped the bullock championship for a second consecutive year with another Limousin cross calf bred by G Cameron, Newton Cottage, Argyll, this time a April 2016-born.
The Nairn JAC members also stood overall champion in the home-bred section. Taking the red, white and blue ticket was a March 2016-born Limousin cross heifer.
The sale of YFs overwintered cattle will commence tomorrow at 10am in ring 1.
