Michael and Melanie Alford, Foxhill Farm, Devon, maintained their prolific show and sale form at a Limousin society event at Brecon, selling the lead priced bull at 6000gns.

Their sale topper this time was Foxhillfarm Miami, a January 2016-born bull that also picked up the supreme championship at the pre-sale show.

An ET bred from the record breaking 125,000gns Glenrock Illusion and sired by Sympa, Miami sold to KJ and LJ Jones, Sunnyside Farm, Narberth, Pembrokeshire.

Two bulls made 5700gns including Killerton Larkspur from PW and SM Greed, Columbjohn Farm, Rewe, Exeter. Their August 2015-born bull by the Wilodge Cerberus son, Rosecroft Hero and out of Killerton Heron, sold to WTL Walters, Lower Pontgwilym, Brecon, Powys.

Twemlows Laurence from Will and Jackie Forrester, Twemlows, Higher Heath, Whitchurch, Shropshire, also made 5700gns selling to Shire Leasing, Amington, Tamworth. Similarly aged, Laurence is by the AI sire Wilodge Goldcard and is out of Twemlows Foxtrot, a Sympa daughter. This bull with a Beef Value of LM+41 was bought by Shire Leasing, Amington, Tamworth.

The Forresters had a great sale, taking the reserve championship with ??? and also selling the lead priced heifer at 2150gns. Reserve male was Twemlows Lowry, purchased by M and JE Jones and Davies, Cwm Farm, Newtown, Powys. For their money they get a September 2015-born son of the AI sire Swarland Eddie, out of a home-bred Haltcliffe Vermount daughter.

Twemlows Lulu, topped the heifer trade for the Forresters, selling to PD and IV Pritchard, Wenllan, Crickhowell, Powys. She is by Twemlows Dynamite.

Earlier, Cowin Lxcell from WDD and C James, Blaencowin, Bryn Iwan, Carmarthenshire, made 5100gns selling to Gelliwern Association, Gelli Wern Ganol, Swansea. This rising two-year-old bull is by the AI sire, Ampertaine Foreman and is out of the 13-year-old Cowin Val.
