NORTHUMBERLAND County Show, known as the biggest show in the North East of England, is back for another year and will take place on next week's Bank Holiday Monday (29 May).

Attracting over 26,000 visitors from across the region and further afield, this agricultural show offers competitive livestock classes for horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, alpacas, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs, plus showin jumping and sheep shearing!

This year's main attractions include, the amazing Big Pete Monster Trucks Display, as well as A Roman Cavalry Show with pony club Roman games, bringing history to life!

In the main ring, a parade of tractors through the ages will be led by one of Thomas Sherriff's new John Deere tractors straight from their showroom in Hexham.

As well as that, the County Show is hosting a children's art competition on the theme of 'Roman Northumbria' for school children across the region, celebrating the first ever 'Northumberland Day' that takes place on Sun, 28 May.

New for this year is the Network Artists marquee where visitors can view or purchase unique artwork and jewellery.

Sadly, there will be no poultry at this year's show due to Avian Flu restrictions but organisers have increased the size of their egg section 

The Specsavers shearing competition is something not to miss!
