Towerview Gisele, an imported Clydesdale mare, owned by John and Margo McIntyre, Stewarton, triumphed to take the supreme horse championship at a busy Suffolk Show, last week.

The mare which was imported in 2015, to join the couple's driving team of six at the Royal Highland Show, was bred by John Wilkieson in Ontario, Canada and is out of Wilkiegils Queen of Hearts by Willow Way Houston.

The horse which was shown by well-known Scottish handler, Ron Brewster of the Bandirran Stud, Methven, first stood champion Clydesdale and then beat off strong, to included a gelding owned by Her Majesty The Queen, to win the overall horse honours.

Ron also brought out the reserve champion pair in the turnouts, in the shape of Vicki and Valerie, a duo of Clydesdale mares also owned by the McIntyres, and produced the winning single turnout for Wendy Toomer Harlow from Essex with her gelding Walton Bomber (Beau).

Adding to Mr Brewster's run of success, he brought out Webers Sadie Jakey Victoria for the McIntyres to win the champion Clydesdale and the overall supreme heavy horse at the recent Nottinghamshire County Show.

Other Scottish horse winners at Suffolk Show included the Clydesdale mare, Westbank Jessie J, bred by CHS President Peter Keron, and owned by Jock Willie.

And, Kirsty Aird lifted the much sought after HOYS qualifier.
