While somewhat damp conditions prevailed for the first day of the Great Yorkshire, the dairy inter-breed the following day saw the supreme overall, Newbirks Jazz the lead Holstein, take all in glorious sunshine.

Winning a second consecutive breed championship here for Robert and Elaine's Ingleview herd from Bentham, was the Ex93-classified Newbirks Jazz, which was following on from her successful show at the Highland where she also secured the supreme dairy.

Reserve overall was the Dairy Shorthorn champion from last year's overall winners, Ian and Mary Collins, Dewsbury. Their show stopper was the VG88 second calver, Chruchroyd Bronte Wildeyes 46, which calved in May and is giving 42litres per day.
