TAKING home the champion of champions accolade at the 170th New Deer Show on Saturday, was a four-year-old Limousin bull from Harry and Lynwen Emslie, Kinknockie, Mintlaw. 

Whiskey Infinity, a Plumtree Deus son, out of Wilodge Glitzy and which is jointly owned with Meridian Genetics, South Africa, was bred by Welsh breeder, Dai Walters, Gwent.

Reserve to Infinity was Graham and Fiona Willox's prize winning Mosston Muir Ingrid from Meikle Pitinnan, Oldmeldrum, a six-year-old cow that was purchased for 11,500gns at the Mosston Muir dispersal.

Across in the sheep lines, Willie Knox and sons Graeme and Andrew from Mid Haddo, Fyvie, took their second consecutive inter-breed sheep win with a one-crop Texel ewe sired by Cowal Vogue, ahead of the home-bred Bluefaced Leicester lamb from Jim and Sandy Hunter, Wedderburn, Huntly.

Also forward for the supreme title was the horse leader, a two-year-old Thoroughbred cross Irish Draught gelding named Sherriff Dancer from Fiona Menzies, Myreton, Insch.
