Banchory Show provided another triumph for Garry Paterson who secured the champion of champions honours with the 18-month-old Limousin heifer, Foxhillfarm Miss Money Penny, owned jointly with Texel sheep breeder, Graham Morrison.

This heifer from Upper Forgie, Aultmore, which also stood supreme overall at Echt, was bought for 10,000gns at Carlisle and is bred from the 125,000gns Glenrock Illusion and sired by the 38,000gns Foxhillfarm Irish Lad.

Huntly livestock agent, Blair Duffton, and Rebecca Stuart from Insch, also had a good day, lifting the reserve beef honours with their jointly owned Charolais cross Irish-bred heifer, Gold Rush. The duo also carried off the inter-breed group of three award with three black cross cattle.

Reserve overall champion of champions however, was the native horse champion from former show president, Robin Stewart, and his wife, Karen, Stablebrae, Durris. Their show stopper was the 12-year-old Highland mare, West Lodge Ashley, which has won many accolades of the years including the inter-breed championship at Black Isle last year.

Veteran Suffolk breeder, Mrs Judith Lorimer, Cadgerford, Kingswells, and her son, Stuart, were in the money too, winning the inter-breed sheep honours with a home-bred gimmer by Lakeview Laidlaw.

Reserve went to the Texel champion, a ewe lamb by the 1200gns Knap Yardmaster from Stuart and Wendy Hunter, West Cairnhill, Culsalmond.
