A SIMMENTAL bull from the MacPherson family, Blackford, Croy, stood beef inter-breed champion at the 180th Black Isle Show, earlier today.

With the weather much better than inticipated, it was Blackford Hero, a March 2016-born son of Kilbride Farm Double Action that stood supreme amongst the cattle. He stood breed champion at Nairn last Saturday.

Reserve in the beef was Garry Patterson's Limousin heifer, Millington Limo from Upper Forgie, Aultmore, Keith. Having stood reserve female at Turriff on Monday, she is by Spittalton Image.

Taking the supreme honours in the sheep was the Texel leader from Jemma Green, Corskie, Garmouth. Her show stopper is a gimmer by Glenside Valhalla.

Reserve to Jemma was a Zwartbles ewe lamb from the Bissett family, Evanton. That was Carrah Eclair, a daughter of the 1500gns Donbraid Big D.

Ord Tinkerbell from Eric and Miranda Johnstone, Muir of Ord, continued her winning ways when the one-year-old rising star filly stood champion Clydesdale and went on to stand overall supreme horse, while the champion standard Shetland from Donna Lochtie was reserve.
