A TEXEL from David McKerrow and sons, David and James, Nochnary, Freuchie, Cupar, scooped the reserve champion of champions honours at Kinross, last Saturday, where a Show Hunter Pony gelding from Emily Simpson, Methven, Perth, stood supreme.

Having picked up the inter-breed sheep championship earlier in the day, it was the McKerrows ewe lamb which went for the top title, a full ET sister to their Yorkshire Show champion.

Supreme in the beef was Weeton Princess Chartreuse from Donald Rankin, Kilmaluag, Isle of Skye. A two-year-old Aberdeen-Angus heifer by Retties JFK, she was brought out by Richard and Carol Rettie, Devonside.

Reserve amongst the cattle was a 15-month-old Limousin cross heifer from Stewart and Lynsey Bett, Westerton, Cowie. She was purchased in March at Carlisle from Andrew Harrison, Grangehall.

Back in the sheep lines, Craig and Teen Malone from Pitcairn, Cardenden, took the reserve inter-breed title with their Mule ewe lamb which is by a home-bred Knightrider sire.
