The Baillie family of the Dalserf herd took the best team prize in the Lanarkshire Holstein Club’s Fab Five winter herds competition. Judged by Mr. Brian Davidson of Errolston, he picked the Dalserf herd out of 15 entries to take home the Lesmay Cup.
Other prize winners include Boclair Lambda Joan from Messrs Smith, Greentowers taking best individual heifer. The best individual cow went to Grangehall Pepper Whiterose from the Lawrie family of the Grangehall herd with the same animal also taking the best mammary prize. The awards presentation was held in the Elphinstone Hotel, Biggar with 35 members and friends attending the ceremony.
