It was another jam packed day for Young Farmers at Ayr Show with several competitions throughout the day.
The busy YFC marquee saw the West Area arts and crafts competition winners on display, with this year’s senior section themed ‘Scottish Inventions’ with the juniors ‘The four seasons’.

Winning the junior section was Mauchline YFC
There was a joint first placing among the seniors between Crossroads YFC and Ayr YFC.
Winners in the junior section were Mauchline YFC, with the team comprising Mhairi McFadzean, Beth Roberton, Chiera McMillan-Grant and Katie Watson.

There was a joint first placing among the seniors with this display coming from Ayr YFC
The open tug of war competition witnessed 17 teams compete, with Biggar YFC securing the gents top ticket and Ayrshire Ostriches leading the ladies.
The return of the stockjudging competition attracted 22 teams from all across the West area, with the winners coming from Kilmaurs A to include Alexander Mitchell, Marion Muir and Adam Smith.
