An exciting position has become available at Ashmore & Strone Estates, Bridge of Cally, Blairgowrie. The farming business is looking for an applicant to work with the renowned and developing sheep flock of currently 1800 breeding ewes, as well as giving assistance to the herd of 100 cows. The farm operates across 2 estates (8100ac in total), with land ranging from high hill ground to land capable of growing productive forage crops.

The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a team, but at stages the applicant will be working on their own. The applicant must have an interest in developing and working with the existing commercial and hill flocks. In addition, the applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent animal husbandry, and ideally be capable of undertaking tractor and machinery work on occasion. A full and clean driver’s license is essential for the role, alongside good working dogs.
