THIS MONTH’S Cairngorm Monitor Farm meeting at Eastfield, Ballater, marked the end of the second year of this three-year project.
HAVING JUST had the good fortune to visit the Falkland Isles where sheep still reign supreme, I thought it might be appropriate to indulge in a bit of nostalgia of a sheep world which some of us ‘old timers’ might just remember.
Some 140 guests including members of the Scottish Parliament, attended Scotland’s Land-based Learner of the Year Awards ceremony at Crieff Hydro, where the agricultural winner, Darren Broadley from Avonbridge, came up trumps to win the overall.
