Vaderstad’s CrossCutter Disc will be on show at Croptec fitted to the new Carrier XL 425-625.

This new feature will allow this versatile cultivator to work at ultra-shallow depths of just 3cm as well as down to 5cm across the full working width of the machine.

The 510mm CrossCutter Disc is manufactured from high-quality V-55 Swedish steel and is ideal for conserving moisture in the seedbed, while mixing crop residues within the topsoil and encouraging an early weed chit.

“A shallow stale seedbed increases the number of seeds germinating, and encourages earlier emergence,” said Vaderstad UK’s marketing manager, Andy Gamble. “This then means the following crop can either be drilled earlier or with the extra time created, used to prepare an even better seedbed.”
