As usual Wednesday’s Ochiltree Show, the largest confined show in the country, did not disappoint with an outstanding turnout of dairy animals and bustling showfield of enthusiasts and local school children.
The summer show season kicked off amid glorious sunshine at Kilmaurs on Saturday, and the showfield was packed with quality livestock and smiling exhibitors and spectators.

Stephen and Ann Morley of Petteril Bank, near Southwaite, are perhaps better known for their renowned Petteril Holstein herd, but this month it’s their Limousin herd which was formed in 2011 which is the main focus of their attention ahead of them taking four young bulls to the forthcoming breed sale at Carlisle.
