A CENTRE record entry of 11,101 store and feeding sheep was forward at Caledonian Marts' annual Martinmas show and sale on Monday, where a large ringside of buyers witnessed 10,725 store lambs average £56.00 (+£2.01 on the year).
With Beltex lambs producing the highest average of £74 (+17p on the year), trade reached a top of £95 for a pen of Beltex crosses from W Kennedy, Lurgan. 
Tapped out by judge, Craig Malone, Pitcairn, Cardenden, they sold to R Downie, Newton of Crathie, Ballater. 
The reserve honours went to the second prize pen to the champion, a similar duo from D McNicol, Whitecross, which made £90 apiece to W and M Fotheringham, Drumcairn, Blackford.
