LESS than half the catalogued entry was able to find new homes at a spring show and sale of Belted Galloway cattle at Carlisle, where trade peaked at 3400gns for the overall champion, a four-year-old bull.
Selling at this price was Woodhall Johnny, the first home-bred bull consigned by Hexham breeder, GR Bell, Woodhall. He sold down to Somerset with J and YJ Hopkins, Splotts Farm, Brentnall, Highbridge.
Averages: Five bulls, £2184.00; three unled females, £1155.00.
