BOTH the champion and reserve pens sold for the top price of £130 at Caledonian Marts' annual sale of Scotch Mule ewe lambs at Stirling, last week.

With both selling to the judge, David Moir, the champion pen was consigned by Doug and Lynda Graham, Mains of Burnbank, while the reserve pen came from Craig Malone, Pitcairn.

In all, the 2850 Mule ewe lambs levelled at £90.75 (-£4.43 on the year) while Texel ewe lambs levelled at £77.72 (-£8.27).

Scotch Mule gimmers (1019) cashed in to average £114.50 (-£21.65) having sold to £140 from Wardhead.
