Centre records were smashed at Lawrie and Symington's Forfar centre last weekend, when a pen of six Blackface ewe lambs from Mark and David Simpson, Sidlaw, Blairgowrie, sold for £255 per head to Ian Davidson, Larne, Northern Ireland.

The sale of 2282 store and breeding sheep also included a show of pens of 20 Blackface wedder lambs, judged by Tommy MacPherson, Pitsundry, who found his champion winners in a pen from DH Armory, Glenfernate. Second prize was awarded to J and J Gibb, Glenisla and Glencally, with third presented to Hunthill estate.
