A 21-month-old bull from the Irvine family of Braehead, Drummuir, Keith, ruled supreme among the Charolais breed at Stirling Bull Sales, this afternooon. 

The leading senior bull, Anside Nightrider, is a son of Woodpark Elgin, out of the Balmyle Bollinger-sired, Anside Geisha - a dam which full brother Anside Excalibur made 26,000gns at Carlisle. Brought out by son Darren, Nightrider stood reserve inter-breed beef champion at Nairn Show, this year.

In reserve was Jonathon Crawford's junior champion, the May 2017-born Coolnaslee Nolan from Maghera, Co Londonderry. An ET son of the Balthayock Ferdinand-sired, Balthayock Justice, this lad is out of the Sportsmans Columbo dam, Coolnaslee Gillian. He stood male champion at Balmoral Show, this year.

Reserve in the seniors was the Drysdale family's Glenericht Machine from Middle Drimmie, Blairgowrie. He is a December 2016-born son of Maerdy Hwre, out of Glenericht Hayley. 

Intermediate champion was RT Roberts' April 2017-born Brynffanigl Nasa by Brynffanigl John, out of Brynffanigl Gwenan from Ucha, Abergele, while Hamish Goldie's Goldies Nobel, settled for reserve. He is a similar aged son of Blelack Blackberet, out of Goldies Joey. 

Chris Curry's Burradon Noah from Thropton, Morpeth, stood reserve among the junior bulls. Born in June, 2017, he is a son of Blelack Imperialist - a bull which stood junior champion here in February, 2015 - out of Burradon Ivana.
