ONE of the largest farm events ever staged in the Scottish Borders saw more than 550 buyers register prior to the sale and an estimated crowd in excess of 3000 head from as far afield as Tiverton in Devon in the south, Orkney in the north and Tipperary and Krakow in Poland in the west and east respectively.

The double farm sale at Newmills Farm, Lauder, on behalf of D and J Waldie, Contracting, Newmills and C and N Anderson, Boon Farm, saw both vendors experience a 100% clearance rate before a great line up of inputs which also sold well.
