A gimmer from Cammie Gauld's Cairnam flock from Auchterarder, topped the Solway and Tyne Texel Breeders' Club show and sale, which included the Tinwald flock dispersal, at Carlisle, selling for 2000gns.

A daughter of Clinterty You Cracker, bred from a home-bred ewe by Ettrick Sir Allan, she was knocked down to Messrs Cakebread, Hawick. The service sire was Garngour Alladin.

Gimmer daughters of Strathbogie Yes Sir from Robbie Wilson's Milnbank flock from Turriff, produced two of the next three highest prices at 1400gns and 1200gns. Messrs Reed, Plumland, Aspatria, bought the first, bred from a ewe by Strathbogie Untouchable that is an ET sister to the 11,000gns Milnbank Vantastic. She sold served to Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid.

Selling at 1200gns to Messrs Frankland, Rathmell, Settle, was a gimmer bred from a ewe by Teiglum Tornado which is an ET sister to the 40,000gns Milnbank Ur The Boy, and due to Greenstar Alfie.

Myfyr Evans' Rhaeadr flock from Denbighshire, Wales, enjoyed another good day, selling the lead priced ewe lamb at 1300gns. This was a lamb by Rhaeadr Ace, which is a maternal brother to the 125,000gns Rhaeadr Best of the Best, bred from a ewe by Glenside Whiz Kid that is a daughter of a 5500gns Baltier female bought in 2015. The buyers were Messrs Oare, Brynford, Holywell.

Top price for Rory Bell's Teviot flock from Kelso, was 1150gns paid by Messrs Wilson, Hawick. This gimmer entry is by Tima Yogi Bear, out of a ewe by Noresk Vikin, which was served to Tima Anchor Man.

Leading Stephie Harrison's Tinwald dispersal from Luce Mains, Ecclefechan, at 1800gns was a one-crop ewe by Crailloch Teagle, purchased by Messrs Laird and Jones, Skirling, Biggar. She is out of a ewe by Collielaw Tudar, and sold due to Teilo Berwyn.

Next at 950gns, when purchased by Messrs Timm, Appleton Roebuck, York, was a similarly bred and aged ewe served to Teilo Berwyn.
