The annual show and sale of pedigree Texel females at Dingwall saw 62 sell to a top of 880gns for the show champion.
This was a Strathbogie Yes Sir-sired gimmer, carrying a single to Auldhouseburn Billy The Kid, from Robbie Wilson, Milnbank, Turriff. It sold to C and I Angus, Oldfield, Thurso.
Reserve in the Texel section went to a Tophill Wall Street-sired ewe lamb from B Buchan, Clinterty, New Aberdour. it later sold at 350gns.
In the Suffolk section, the championship went to a Conchar Crusader-sired ewe, carrying twins to Cairness Sir William, from Jimmy Douglas, Cairness, Fraserburgh, realising 1200gns.
The reserve award went to a Smithston Superman sired gimmer carrying a pair to Landale Crusader consigned by Mr B. Swanson, East Murkle, Thurso realising 450gns.
In-lamb gimmers sold to 900gns for a Texel from Mid Haddo, Fyvie, while Suffolks sold to 500gns from Cairness. Trade for in-lamb ewes peaked 1200gns for a Suffolk from Cairness.
