A solid demand for commercial bulls resulted in an 88% clearance and an average of £2985 for the 24 bulls forward at a society show and sale of pedigree Limousins in Dungannon on Monday.

Top price was 4500gns paid for the reserve intermediate champion, Ballyrobin Norton, from Joan Gilliland, Antrim, Co Antrim. This July 2017-born bull is by Ampertaine Gigolo, out Ballyrobin Heidi, a Wilodge Cerberus daughter, and sold to Matthew Harrison, Portadown, Co Armagh.

At 3800gns Millgate Nectar, from Michael Loughran, Dunamore, Co Tyrone, was purchased by James Alexander, Randalstown, Co Antrim. Reserve overall champion at the pre-sale show, this July 2017-born entry is by Lynderg Judge and out of Millgate Lollipop, a Norman Ely daughter.

Females met a 100% clearance with the 10 lots averaging £1885. Top price here was 3000gns paid for the section champion, Johnstown Nico from Chris Johnston, Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone. Similarly aged to the previous lot, she is by Ampertaine Elgin, out of Hannas Faveur and sold to Samuel Murphy, Waringstown, Co Armagh.

Lynderg Nodine, from Jim Quail, Banbridge, Co Down made 2600gns. August 2017-born by Lynderg Hero and out of the French dam Uzerche, she was purchased by Michael Doyle, Draperstown, Co Derry.
