A small but select offering of Charolais met a solid trade at Dungannon, on Monday where 11 bulls sold to 3300gns to average £2539 and three heifers cashed in at £2468..

Topping the trade was the blue ticket winner Killadeas Oriel from Stuart and David Bothwell, Ballina Mallard, Co Fermanagh. Their 13 month-old, is by Roughand Jaden, out of Killadeas Letty, which goes back to Gwenog Braveheart, and was purchased by James Rice, Armagh, Co Armagh.

The male champion, Fymore Olaf, sold next at 3000gns to F Lapin, Poyntzpass, Co Down. His purchase, a January 2018-born son of the 18,000gns Fury Action, was consigned by Sean McCaughey, Augher, Co Tyrone.

The Bothwells were back in the money, selling the top priced female at 2400gns. This was the June 2017-born Killadeas Nuala, a Blelack Digger daughter, out of Killadeas Jean, by Blackford Dynamite. She was purchased by Phelim and Bronagh Caraher, Crossmaglen
