A disappointing trade for British Blondes at Carlisle, saw just two bulls and a female change hands.
The event, which attracted an entry of five bulls and two heifers, was topped at 3400gns for Hallfield Nicol, a rising two-year-old from Northumberland breeders, P Weightman and Sons, Hallfield, Easington, Co Durham. Overall champion at the pre-sale show, this Aaron Jaigo son, bred from the Blackwater Ainsley daughter, Hallfield Flurry, was knocked down to Messrs Appleton, Elwick, Hartlepool, Cleveland.
