Calogale Navara, the overall champion at a Limousin club show and sale at Welshpool, went on to top the sale at 6000gns.
The bull, an August 2017-born son of Trueman Jagger, from GJ Lee and CM Lloyd, Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, is out of the Wilodge Vantastic daughter, Dinmore Helebore that was purchased for 12,800gns. Navara sold to Messrs Massey from Offerton, Stockport.
Two bulls sold for 4500gns to include CV Lewis and Son’s Garyvaughan Ninky, by Plumtree Deus, purchased by Aston Hall Farm, Montgomery and Garnedd Nevis, a Garnedd Junior-sired bull from KI, E and HI Jones purchased by Messrs Thomas from Llanddeusant.
The dispersal sale of Miss Anne Thompson’s Tunnelby herd from Crewe, also sold to 6000gns for Tunnelby Matiana which sold with her Lodge Hamlet-sired heifer calf, Tunnelby Pollyanna, at foot. Matiana, a 2016-born cow is by Chytodden Conan, out of the Fieldson Alfy daughter Tunnelby Harayana and sold to Messrs Simms, Holmes Chapel.
Messrs Jerman from Trefeglwys, Caersws paid 3500gns for Tunnelby Lorelei, a Titantic daughter out of Tunnelby Harayana. She also sold with bull calf at foot by Lodge Hamlet.
