Growing interest in the Poll Dorset as a commercial breeding sheep has resulted in the formation of a Scottish club of 22 breeders.
The club, which was founded at Stirling Show, on Saturday, aims to promote the breed in Scotland while also pushing agricultural shows to have competitive sections for the Poll Dorset.
The next big step for the club is the first breed sale in Scotland at United Auctions' Stirling Agricultural Centre on July, 3, which commences at 2pm following a show, judged by the national flock competition winner, Sam Driver.
