Top price was a Limousin cross steer from Messrs Bowman, Croft House, Penrith achieving £1280.

Heifers sold to £1200 from Messrs Bowman, Croft House, Penrith.

Weaned cattle were topped by Fartown's Limousins at £1090 and £1070 for steers and heifers respectively.

A 16-month-old Limousin cross topped the heifers at £1055 from M and EJ Wilson, Townend.

In the pence per kg section, it was a Limousin cross bullock that led the way from Auchren, Lesmahagow, whilst the same breed topped the heifers at 199p from Kilwhipnach, Campbeltown.
