Judge Alasdair Prickett, backed his decision and bought his choice of champion at North West Auctions' annual show and sale of pedigree Beltex rams and females at J36 Rural Auction Centre.
His champion winner, Sovereign Dianna, a gimmer from Rebecca Braithwaite, Bentham, is by Dean Brow Carlos and went on to sell for 1600gns.
The reserve champion, Benndale Dizzy Rascal, by Benndale Commander, from E Benn, Barnard Castle, realised 650gns.
