British Blues from Messrs Taylor, Waterhouses, Asby, bagged both the champion and the reserve honours at Harrison and Hetherington's September store cattle show and sale.

The sale of 532 cattle, which averaged £930.77, was topped by the champion, a 14-month-old heifer that sold for £1255.

The reserve from Waterhouses, a 12-month-old stot realised £1225.

Just shy of a third of the cattle sold for £1000-£1255.
