This is the top priced ram at £6000 which was paid for Hownam Grange X Factor, from Willy and Laura Thomson, Hownam Grange, Kelso, at at the recent NCC tup sdale at Lockerbie.
This ram sold in a two-way split to Steven Turnbull, of the Jethart flock, Larkhall Farm, Jedburgh, and the Allen family, Humbleheugh, Alnwick. Unshown in the show, he is a son of Gilston 11532, which was bought here for £600 from the Dun family, Gilson, Heriot and out of a home-bred ewe.
