In the heifers it was a Limousin cross from J Weal and Son, Birkshawhead, Lockerbie, that achieved £1105.

Trade was topped at £1430 in the weaned cattle for a Limousin bull from Messrs Pattinson, Bonshawside.

In the Aberdeen-Angus cattle society show and sale saw the 18-month-old 662kg bullock take overall champion from Tormiston, Stenness, which achieved £1320. Reserve champion was a 16-month-old 626kg bullock which realised £1290 from A and A Foubister, Netherton, Holm.
