A ewe lamb from the Ingram family's Logie Durno flock from Pitcaple, Inverurie, led the way at the Saucy Sale of Charollais females at Worcester, selling for the top price of 2800gns.

The December-born ET, is an ET sister to the champion ram sold at the breed sale here in July and is by Loanhead Talisman. She sold to David and Joe Lewis, buying for their Cattlearch flock from Cheshire. Other Logie Durno ewe lambs sold at 980gns and 720gns.

Top priced gimmer at 2400gns was an entry from Dewi Evans’s Ffrwd flock from Anglesey. Sired by Edstaston Sotogrande, she sold carrying twins to Knockin Unanimous to Southern Irish breeder, Paul Brophy from Co Carlow, with another from the same home making 1000gns to AJ Hector from Somerset.

Adrian Davies from Carmarthenshire, also had a good sale with his pen of 11 gimmers selling to 1500gns to average £567.47. Buyer of this daughter of the 7000gns Brettles Sherman, which sold carrying a single to Wedderburn Savill, was Justin Evans from Glamorgan.

Co Roscommon breeder, J Miley, went to 1250gns for a ewe lamb from Robert Greogory’s Edstaston flock. She is by the record priced, Knockin Shockin and her dam, which has bred sons to 5800gns, is by Arjane Jumanji.
