The annual show and sale of Lakeland suckled calves at Mitchells auction, Cockermouth, saw a Limousin heifer from I and R Millard, Old Hyton, take pre-sale champion which later achieved the top price of £1120.

Reserve honours went to a Limousin steer from B and J Hodgson, Woodend which realised £935. The second top price of £1005 was for a pen Limousin steers from W Atkinson and Son, Demesne.

More of the same breed topped the bulls at £935 from M and JI Slater, Rose Cottage.
