Corries Leading Ladies top at £3350
One of the biggest crowds recorded was forward for Will and Gareth Corrie's Leading Ladies sale of beef breeding cattle at Ballymena Auction Mart, where prices peaked at £3350 for a Limousin cross heifer in calf to an easy-calving Limousin bull for the turn of the year.
The heifer from Drumhill Farm, Newtownards, was purchased by Frank Reid, Ballynahinch.
Other in-calf heifers all due at the turn of the year to a Limousin, saw prices reach £2800 selling to S O'Kane, Carnlough and, £2600 to Ivan Lynn, Limavady.
Overall, the 98 head averaged £1910 with a 100% clearance.
