Haulfryn Oswin led the way at North West Midlands and North Wales club autumn sale of Limousin cattle at Welshpool where trade peaked at 5000gns.

The Whitley, Haulfryn, Spoon Green, Buckley, Clwyd, saw the hammer fall at 5000gns for Haulfryn Oswin, forking out the cash was Messrs Price and Co, Llandeusant, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire.

The 19-month-old natural calf is homozygous horned, he is a son of Harris and out of Guitare, which goes back to Valseuse.

The sole entry for CV Lewis and Sons, Buttington New Hall, Welshpool, Powys, didn't disappoint as the 18-month-old bull, Garyvaughan Odance left the ring at a 4700gns bid from Messrs Davies, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire. The second prize bull is sired by Lodge Hamlet, and out of Garyvaughan Ledance, which goes back to Garyvaughan Elegance.

The overall male champion, Glencross Oliver took the third joint top call at 4000gns for Mrs C Davies, Glanyfer, Crosswell, Eglwyswrw, Pembrokeshire, as he sold to Messrs Roberts, Ty Croes, Anglesey. Oliver is a natural homozygous horned calf, sired by Glencross Ioncalo, and out of Glencross Invision, which goes back to Goldies Evasion.

Glencross Ollie from the same home bagged a second prize ticket in the pre-sale show and later sold to Messrs Morgan and Son, Dutlas, Knighton, Powys, for 3500gns. The April 2018 born bull is a son of Glencross Ioncalo and his dam, Eisteddfa Hawys, is out of Eisteddfa Aggie.

Another on the 4000gns cheque was the reserve overall champion, Mojo Onion from A Jones, Pencarreg House, Llangibby, Usk, which went home with Messrs Gittins, Clun, Craven Arms, Shropshire.

The 17-month-old bull, is sired by Trueman Jagger and its dam, Cockleshell Girly, goes back to Cockleshell Bindy.

Esmors Osian also sold for 3500gns for DE Evans, Monfa, Gwornaffield, Mold, Flintshire, and travelled down to Wales with Messrs Thomas, Llandrindod Wells, Powys. The sixteen-month-old black coated bull is a son of Knock Glencoe Haz and its mother, Farfelue, goes back to Nounou.

The best from EH Pennie and son, Gwern Yr Ychain, Llandyssil, Montgomery, Powys, saw Sarkley Oboy peak at 3400gns which was purchased by Messrs Powell, Kerry, Newtown, Powys. The Ampertaine Interest son was born April 2018 and took a third prize ticket at the show, the dam, Sarkley Hanabell, is out of Sarkley Tinkerbell.

Miljak Onherway led the Limousin female trade from Jack Stevens, Manor, Worth, Somerset, which topped at 1500gns selling to Messrs Davies, Llysynant, Llanfynydd, Carmarthen. This 19-month-old cow is a daughter of Foxhillfarm Lucas and out of Twemlows Hubub.
