The annual Christmas show and sale at Newton Stewart saw 1905 prime and cast sheep forward.
The judge, Sam Carlisle of Border Meats, awarded his champion to Beltex lambs from Young family, Tormitchell. The lambs tipped the scales at 49kg and made £150 to the judge on behalf of Border Meats.
Backing up his decision again Mr Carlisle purchased the reserve champion, a trio of Texels shown by A and J Wright, Pinmore Mains, these weighed 53kg and made £120.
Outwith the show 1592 lambs sold to average 185.5p kg down 8.9p on the week.
Taking top price of £97 was Suffolks from J Clark, West Glengyre. Lightweight Texels from A McCaig, Mount Pleasant, topped the per kg section at 212.2p kg.
Topping the ewes at £118 was Charolais crosses from R Templeton, Carslae.
