Bullocks sold to 2.16p and £1440.60 for Limousin's from Nethermyres, to average 213p. The same home topped the heifers at 2.32p and £1368.80 and a second call of 2.32p for more Limousins from Mill of Inverarity, to level at 216p.

Prime lamb trade peaked at 242.9p and £119 for Texels from Mains of Dalrulzion, to average 206.1p for SQQs and overall average of 202.9p (+ 17.3p).

Beltex lambs from Coilavoulin led the way at United Auctions sale of 7990 prime sheep, selling to £117.

Ewes from Cherryfield topped at £158 for Texel's, while more of the same breed topped the tup section at £115 for Weston.

A strong trade was met at Caledonian marts' prime sale of 134 cattle, comprising of 74 bullocks, heifers, young bullocks and 60 OTM cattle.

Heifers reached 240p for a Limousin from W Dandie and Sons, Learielaw, and to £1505 for more of the same breed from D Dickinson, Brockwoodlees, Canobie. Limousin's from J H and N T Turnbull, Meadowend, Clackmannan, topped both sections among the bullocks at 228p and £1450.
