A new centre record for a Bluefaced Leicester female was achieved at United Auction's breed sale at Stirling when a ewe hogg from Archie and John MacGregor, Allanfauld, Kilsyth, sold for 4500gns.

A daughter of the £12,000 K1 Carryhouse sire, which is a brother of the strong breeding Jackpot, and out of a Carryhouse dam by Highberries Highlander, she sold to Robert Raw, of the Capernwray flock, Fairview, Lancaster.

Following this at 1200gns was the final gimmer in the ring from the Wight family, Midlock, Crawford. She sold carrying triplets to Midlock L27 to Messrs Ross, Doune of Glendouglas. She is a daughter of the £6000 K4 Marriforth, which was sire of the year two years ago while her dam is a good breeding ewe out of a £37,000 dam's full sister.
