Tom Tennant, Gilmanscleugh, Ettrick, has been appointed president of the Cheviot Sheep Society, taking over the role from John Paton.
Blair Cockburn, Stirkfield, Broughton, steps up to vice-president.
The society's prestigious Flock of the Year competition, has been won by Jim Robertson, Becks, Langholm, after several big wins to include champion at the Royal Highland Show with the three-shear ram, Castle Crusader and champion of champions at Langholm, with the similarly aged tup, Mainside Yielder. Becks scored 132 points.
Reserve was James Common and Son's Crossdykes flock from Lockerbie with 124 points, followed by WN Douglas, Catslackburn, Yarrow, on 122; RH Paton, Castle Crawford, Biggar, with 118 points and in fifth was T Elliot, Hindhope, Jedburgh, scoring 92 points
