A bull that was first in the ring at Harrison and Hetherington’s small but selective sale of pedigree Hereford and Beef Shorthorn cattle at Carlisle, led the trade at 2000gns for H Elliott, Lowcorniggs, Cowshill, Weardale, Durham.
Cornriggs 1 Sebastion, a September 2018-born Hereford bull by Kinglee 1 Hero, out of Cornriggs 1 Miss Mink, headed home to Waterhead of Dryfe, Berryscaur, Lockerbie.
Beef Shorthorns peaked at 1600gns for Sleightholme Foxtail 2, a four-year-old bull from the Sleightholmedale Partnership from Sleightholmdale Lodge, Fadmoor, North Yorkshire.
A son of Meonhill Emperor, out of Sleightholme Forget-Me-Not, he sold up to Aberdeenshire with Messrs Knowles, Premnay, Insch.
