Pedigree dairy cattle were in the demand at Craig Wilson's sale at Ayr where 12 Holstein heifers in milk averaged £2030 per head
Taking the top two prices at 2250gns and 2000gns were two fresh entries from J Kennedy and Sons, Perryston Farm, Ayr, both of which sold to J Lyon, Little Kilchatton, Kingarth.
Perryston also sold two heifers at 1900gns selling to J Gatherer, Hill Of Ochiltree and Deaconhill Farming, Deaconhill, Mauchline, respectively.
The champion was another heifer this time from R Howie, Tarshaw, Tarbolton, which later attained 1900gns selling to M and R Hamilton, Barmoorhill, Tarbolton. Tarshaw received the same money for another heifer from J Gatherer, Hill Of Ochiltree.
