A 692kg heifer from RE Miller, West Farm, Aspatria, bagged the championship and the top price of £1588 or 229.5p per kg, at the Border British Blue Club's annual show and sale of primestock at Carlisle, on Monday.
She sold to Steven Wilson, Corby Hill Butchers.
Judges, father and son duo, Michael and Morgan Helliwell, found their reserve in the first prize steer, a 695kg entry from N Dixon, Low Whinnow Farm, Thursby, that headed home with wholesale butcher, Ralph Pearson, at £1469 or 211.5p per kg.
The first prize young bull, from JA Hewson, Burgh Head, sold to the judges at 227.5p.
The cow trade peaked at 213.5p and £1823 for a pedigree-bred cow by Tweedale Ebony from Sharplaw Farms, Kelso. She weighed 852kg and was purchased by Charles Kirkpatrick.
