Social distancing has already seen the cancellation of several sales, with others having to be completely re-scheduled to take place under a completely different format to ensure they meet with strict government guidelines.

Up until now, all machinery sales have had to be cancelled or postponed to meet with the new regulations, but Lawrie and Symington's monthly sale has just been finalised to go ahead as a timed online sale.

The sales at the firm's Lanark centre normally attract anything from 25-50 tractors with a further 500-600 lots of machinery and implements, but with two previous sales already cancelled due to Corona Virus, the next event scheduled for May 21, is likely to pull in more lots than ever.

Entries have to be in for May 11, with the timed on line auction going live on Friday, May 15, and closing on the day of the sale, Thursday, May 21.
